This code provides practical guidance on how to manage health and safety risks associated with removing asbestos or asbestos-containing materials from workplaces. Duty holders who have a role in managing and controlling asbestos and asbestos-containing materials in the workplace include:

  • persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs)
  • designers, manufacturers, importers, suppliers and installers of plant, substances or structures
  • officers
  • workers
  • other persons at the workplace.
