You will need this licence if you intend to provide labour hire services. Labour hire is a form of employment where an employer directs their employees to perform work at an external workplace (host). The licence authorises you to provide your employed workers to someone else (a host) to undertake the following types of work:
- horticulture processing
- meat processing
- seafood processing
- cleaning
- trolley collection.
Labour hire providers include:
- businesses that provide workers directly to undertake work for someone else as part of the host's business or commercial undertaking
- businesses that provide workers to a host indirectly through one or more agents or intermediaries to undertake business or commercial work for the host
- businesses that have an arrangement with their workers to supply them directly or indirectly to undertake work for a host
- workers provided to the host are paid by your business, even if payment is only for accommodation.
