You will need this licence to provide labour hire services. Labour hire services involve the supply of workers to undertake work for someone else (the host).
Labour hire services include:
- businesses that provide workers directly to undertake work for someone else as part of the host's business or commercial undertaking
- businesses that provide workers to a host indirectly through one or more agents or intermediaries to undertake business or commercial work for the host
- businesses that have an arrangement with their workers to supply them directly or indirectly to undertake work for a host
- workers provided to the host are paid by your business even if payment is only for accommodation.
There must be at least two people who are responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the business. The number of responsible people you will need should be related to the size and scope of your business and the number of branches you operate.
