Late Night Trading Code of Practice - South Australia

Description

You will need to comply with this code to sell or supply liquor at a licensed venue and trade after 2am.

The code provides mandatory guidelines for the safe and responsible late night trade of liquor at licensed premises and covers the restrictions and requirements relating to:

  • drink marshals
  • late night entry onto premises
  • the use of glassware
  • the use of metal detectors
  • the use of CCTV
  • the supply of beverages that may promote rapid or excessive consumption.

The code requires licensees to undertake risk assessment of the operational practices of their licensed premises and implement reasonable steps to ensure compliance with the code. These steps must be contained in a written management plan.
