Major Bingo Licence - South Australia

Description

You will need this licence to conduct major bingo sessions. A major bingo session is a fundraiser where bingo is played and the gross proceeds are between $500 and $9000.

Major bingo licence holders must comply with the major bingo session rules.

Application process

In addition to your completed application you will need to provide:

  • details of any other association which may benefit from the bingo session(s)
  • any outstanding financial statements
  • fee payment.

If you are a first time applicant, you will also need to provide:

  • a copy of the association's constitution
  • names and addresses of management committee members
  • the number of financial members.

Lodgement process

Lodge

You must lodge your completed application at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the bingo session.

Transfer

This licence cannot be transferred.

Additional information

The proceeds raised must be used for an approved purpose, including:

  • an educational or charitable purpose
  • an environmental, historical, or cultural heritage purpose
  • a medical purpose
  • the purpose of sport or recreation
  • the purpose of promoting the interests of students or staff of an educational institution
  • the purpose of establishing or improving a community centre or promoting the interests of a community.
