Description

You will need this licence if you intend to sell pharmacy medicine at a retail shop for the sale of goods in an area where there is no nearby pharmacy.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must operate a shop for the sale of goods by retail that:

  • is open for at least 38 hours per week
  • is 25 kilometres or more from the nearest pharmacy which is open for at least 3 hours per day (other than Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays)
  • in a local community where there is a genuine need for a medicine seller.
