Exploration Licence - South Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to explore for all minerals or opal.

Minerals include:

  • metallic minerals such as cobalt, gold, and silver
  • energy minerals such as coal or uranium
  • industrial minerals such as graphite, rare earth elements and salt.

Licence holders are not authorised to explore for extractive minerals. Licences will not be issued for current mining tenements or other areas not available for mining exploration, e.g. coastlines and wilderness areas.
