You will need to comply with this code if you farm pigs.

The code sets out the basic requirements for the good welfare of farmed pigs and includes provisions relating to:

  • food and water
  • shelter and enclosure
  • behaviour
  • physical handling
  • injury and disease
  • visual and social contact with other pigs.
