Offshore Mineral Retention Licence - South Australia


Persons or companies who hold an Exploration Licence who wish to retain rights over an area in coastal waters may apply for a Retention Licence.

Coastal waters are the first three nautical miles of the territorial sea from the baseline (the low water mark). A Retention Licence is granted over a particular area (constituted by blocks).
