Optometrist Registration - South Australia

Description

You need to be registered to practise as an optometrist. Registered optometrists are involved in the measuring of vision, prescribing corrective lenses where necessary and detecting eye disease and can use the protected title of optometrist.

There are four different types of registration offered to practitioners:

  • general
  • limited
  • non-practising
  • student.

There is one endorsement for scheduled medicines available for optometrists with additional qualifications and expertise.
