You will need this permission to obstruct or alter a street, footpath, water channel, or watercourse. This includes:

  • erecting ladders, hoardings or scaffolding over a footpath or road
  • driving or parking vehicles on footpaths
  • unloading goods or placing articles on streets
  • undertaking activities that obstruct the footpath by pipes or tubes (for example, steam cleaning carpets).
