Permit to Light a Fire on Council Land - District Council of Grant - South Australia

Description

Persons wishing to light and maintain a fire in the open air during fire danger season require a permit under the Fire and Emergency Services Act, 2005. The permit does not authorise the lighting of a fire during a total fire ban.

Disqualified persons or entities

You will not need this permit if you are lighting a fire in a place provided by your local council for that purpose, or in a portable barbeque, as long as the barbeque is used in an area that is clear of flammable material for a distance of at least four metres.
