You must be registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia to practise as a pharmacist or a pharmaceutical chemist. Registered pharmacists and pharmaceutical chemists are involved in preparing and dispensing drugs as well as other clinical services related to drugs and medication and can use the protected titles of pharmacist or pharmaceutical chemist.
There are five types of registration available to practitioners:
- general
- provisional
- limited
- non-practising
- student.
