Plant Health Certificate - South Australia

Description

You will need this certificate if you intend to import or export certain fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, soil or plants in soil.

Prior to a certificate being issued, Authorised Inspectors must first verify that plant quarantine requirements have been met. To do this, they may need to:

  • sight records
  • witness the application of treatments
  • complete a physical inspection of the product or source property
  • complete any other action determined required by the Authorised Inspector in order to validate interstate quarantine requirements have been met (fees apply).

A legally equivalent Plant Health Assurance Certificate (PHAC) may be issued by a business accredited to operate compliance arrangements approved by a State Authority.
