You will need to apply for recognition If you intend to work as a hairdresser but do not meet the prescribed qualification requirements.

Prescribed qualifications include:

  • Certificate III in Hairdressing (SHB30416)
  • Certificate III in Barbering (SHB30516)
  • any previously prescribed qualification that has now been revoked, that was obtained during the time it was prescribed.
