Description

You need to be registered to practise as a pharmacist or a pharmaceutical chemist in Australia. Pharmacists and pharmaceutical chemists are involved in preparing and dispensing drugs as well as other clinical services related to drugs and medication. The titles of pharmacist or pharmaceutical chemist are protected and you must be registered to use them.

The types of activities considered a part of pharmacy may be updated or changed from time to time.

There are five different types of registration offered to practitioners:

  • general
  • provisional
  • limited
  • non-practising
  • student.
