Description

You will need to register to practice as an architect in South Australia.

You will be entitled to provide architectural services in South Australia and to use the term 'Architect' and its derivatives as part of your practice.

You can register under one of the following categories:

  • practising
  • non-practising
  • architectural business
  • limited (by location, supervision requirements, time etc.).

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you will need to have completed an approved course and have passed the Architectural Practice Examination.

If you are registering as a practising architect, you will need to hold professional indemnity insurance.

If you are registering as a partnership or company, you must have a director who is registered as an architect.

If you are registered in another Australian state or territory, you may apply for mutual recognition.
