Registration of a Student Exchange Organisation - South Australia


You will need this registration if you intend to operate a student exchange program. A student exchange program provides the opportunity for Australian secondary school students to study overseas and students from other countries to study in Australia.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you must be:

  • a not-for-profit corporation, association or other legal entity established or registered under Australian, state or territory law
  • a school registered by an Australian state or territory department of education or statutory authority.

Applications for registration are assessed against the standards for student exchange organisation approval. These standards are in the national guidelines for the operation of international secondary student exchange programs in Australia.
