Rock Lobster Fishery Licence - South Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to conduct commercial rock lobster fishing. The Rock Lobster Fishery is divided into a northern and a southern zone. Rock lobster licence holders may also harvest marine scalefish as endorsed on their licence.

No new licences are being issued. Licences are only available by transfer from an existing licence holder. Individual transferable quotas apply in both zones.

Licence holders are also required to register:

  • any boat or device used under this licence
  • a person as a master of any boat used under this licence.

  • be a fit and proper person.

Duration

Rock Lobster fishery licences are issued for the term of their management plan. The current management plans are valid until 2031.
