You will need this licence if you intend to buy, sell or offer for sale four or more second-hand vehicles in 12 months.You may apply to sell motorcycles only, or both motorcycles and motor vehicles.
You may apply as a:
- sole trader
- partnership, in which case each partner must have a separate licence
- company, in which case the company and the manager must have separate licences
- motor wrecker or crash repairer, even if you are only selling vehicles that cannot be driven.
If your principal place of residence:
- is in a state or territory other than South Australia, you can use the Automatic Mutual Recognition (AMR) process to work in SA under your interstate licence
- changes to South Australia, you must hold an SA licence – not an interstate licence.
