You must not sell, supply or distribute the following prohibited plastic products in the course of carrying out your business:
- single-use plastic drinking straws
- single-use plastic cutlery
- single-use plastic beverage stirrers
- expanded polystyrene cups, bowls, plates or clamshell containers
- oxo-degradable plastic products.
Oxo-degradable plastic products are those that have additives which accelerate the fragmentation of the material into smaller pieces or microplastics.
Exceptions to this ban comprise:
- selling, supplying or distributing single-use plastic straws to people with a disability or medical reason
- pre-packaged and attached prohibited plastic products, such as single-use plastic straws attached to juice or milk boxes to be excluded from the list of prohibited items.
