South Australian Adult Safeguarding Unit Code of Practice - South Australia

Description

You may need to comply with this code of practice if you work with adults living with disability. This code applies to staff within the Office of the Ageing Well involved in the administration, operation or enforcement of the legislation. Other organisations may also be guided by this code.

This code sets out how the Adult Safeguarding Unit (ASU) will fulfil its functions in accordance with the legislation and guides practically how the ASU operates. This includes the actions ASU staff may take to respond to reports of suspected or actual abuse, how they will work with adults to ensure their rights are respected, and how the ASU will work with significant others, including organisations.
