Special Club Licence - South Australia

Description

You will need this licence to possess and operate approved gaming machines as an agent of a casino or gaming machine licence holder. The licence authorises the operation of gaming machines where they are:

  • on casino premises, as an agent of the casino licence holder
  • on another premises, as an agent of a gaming machine licence holder.

Only one special club licence may be in force at any one time.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • represent a substantial number of clubs in South Australia
  • have the appropriate skills and expertise.

You will also need to have directors, or members of the board, comprised of:

  • at least one person, who is a lawyer of at least three years standing, with experience in the club and gaming industry
  • at least one person, who is a qualified accountant of at least three years standing, with experience in the club and gaming industry
  • at least one person with experience in dealing with the issues of problem gambling and gambling addiction.
