You will require this registration if you intend to use a special purpose vehicle. A special purpose vehicle is a vehicle built for a purpose other than carrying goods and includes:

  • farm machines
  • earth moving machines.

A special purpose vehicles valid for a period from 3 months to 36 months. Special purpose vehicles may also be registered with a common expiry subject to approval. If you need to register your vehicle for only part of a year, you may apply for a seasonal registration.
