Standards for the Operation of Swimming Pools and Spa Pools in South Australia - South Australia

Description

You will need to comply with these standards to operate public swimming pools and spa pools. Public pools include pools used:

  • by persons who pay an admission or membership fee to use the facility
  • in association with temporary accommodation, such as a hotel or caravan park
  • by persons who attend, live or work on premises where a pool is located, such as an apartment block, and does not include pools at single private residences.

These standards outline the requirements for owners and operators of public pools to ensure that water quality is up to the standard required to protect public health.
