A person must not place a survey mark on or in land or carry out a cadastral survey for fee or reward unless they are registered as a surveyor.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
An applicant for a licence as a surveyor must have not less than two years practical experience in surveying approved by the Institution of Surveyors, including at least 12 months practical experience in cadastral surveying.
