Description

If you intend to become a veterinary services provider you must be registered with the Veterinary Services Board of South Australia within 60 days of commencement of such services.

A veterinary service provider is a person or entity (not being a veterinary surgeon) who provides veterinary treatment through the instrumentality of a veterinary surgeon.

To be eligible for registration, you must:

  • have your principal place of residence in South Australia, or propose to have your principal place of residence in South Australia
  • have been awarded a qualification recognised by the VSBSA for registration on the general/specialist register
  • be medically fit to provide veterinary treatment as a veterinary surgeon/specialist
  • be a fit and proper person to be registered on the register(s).
