You will need to be registered if you intend to conduct business as a land agent. Land agents buy, sell, negotiate or otherwise deal with the buying and selling of land or businesses, including property management. Land agents are also called real estate agents.

You can register as an individual, partnership or a company.

  • be financially solvent
  • hold a current National Police Certificate
  • not have been the director of a company that was wound up in the past 5 years
  • not have been convicted of an offence involving dishonesty in the past 10 years.
