Manufacturers Licence - South Australia

Description

A licence to manufacture, produce, pack, or repack a poison is required under Section 13 of the Controlled Substances Act, 1984 which applies to all poisons and drugs of dependence.

These licensing requirements do not apply to medical practitioners, pharmacists, dentists, or veterinary surgeons who manufacture as part of normal professional practice, or retailers who repack liquid hydrocarbons eg petroleum, methylated spirits, kerosene, turpentine, dry cleaning fluid, etc at the time of sale, or manufacturers who are licensed to manufacture the poisons under the Commonwealth Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Schedule 2, 3, 4 or 8 substances).

The substances permitted to be manufactured, produced or packed are specified on the licence.
