Accreditation of High Risk Work Licence Assessors - Tasmania

Description

You will need this accreditation if you intend to assess the competency of applicants for high risk work licences. Assessors:

  • conduct competency assessments
  • issue assessment summaries and interim high risk work licences.

Assessors will be accredited to assess the specific class of high risk work which include:

  • scaffolding work
  • dogging and rigging work
  • crane and hoist operation
  • reach stacking
  • forklift operation
  • pressure equipment operation.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • hold a current high risk licence for each class you intend to assess
  • have successfully completed the necessary assessor skill set (at least TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor)
  • have at least two years of industry and operational experience for each class you intend to assess
  • be employed by, work in partnership with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or be an RTO.
