Accreditation of High Risk Work Licence Assessors - Tasmania

Description

You will need this accreditation if you intend to assess the competency of applicants for high risk work licences. Assessor conduct competency assessments and issue assessment summaries and interim high risk work licences. 

Assessors will be accredited to assess the specific class of high risk work which include:

  • scaffolding work
  • dogging and rigging work
  • crane and hoist operation
  • reach stacking
  • forklift operation
  • pressure equipment operation.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • hold a current high risk licence for each class you intend to assess
  • have successfully completed the necessary assessor skill set (at least TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor)
  • have at least two years of industry and operational experience for each class you intend to assess
  • be employed by, work in partnership with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or be an RTO.
