To be eligible for this approval, you must have relevant technical skills and experience, and inform the agency of any direct or indirect interest you have in any food business.
Under the Automatic Mutual Recognition scheme (AMR), if you are an Australian-based auditor who resides outside of Tasmania, you can work as an approved regulatory food safety auditor if you:
- hold a current and equivalent approval or license issued by the relevant authority in your home jurisdiction, and
- notify the Department of Health (Tasmania) of your intention to work in Tasmania.
