Approval of a Funeral Trust - Tasmania

Description

You will require this approval if you are operating a funeral business and intend to offer prepaid funerals. A prepaid funeral is:

  • where funeral arrangements are predetermined
  • a contract is signed
  • money is paid in advance.

All monies received are required to be deposited into an approved funeral trust and a custodian must be appointed as manager of the trust.
