Approval to Deposit Sharp Medical Instruments - Tasmania


You will require this approval if you intend to deposit sharp medical instruments at a specified collection area. Approved methods of the disposal of sharps will vary.

Sharp medical instruments include, but are not limited to:

  • needles or syringes with needles
  • intravenous sets
  • pasteur pipettes
  • scalpel blades
  • other sharp objects of a medical nature.
