If you are a gas entity and intend to operate a gas facility, you must submit a safety and operating plan. The plan must comply with this and other standards set out in legislation.
A gas entity is a person that holds a Gas Supply Industry Licence. A gas facility is a system, service or facility that relates to the distribution, control, conveyance, measurement or retail sale of gas.
This standard specifies requirements for natural gas (NG) fuel systems for engines mounted on motor vehicles and provides requirements for the design and construction of component parts. It also provides requirements for the installation of components in vehicles, and for tests, commissioning, and periodic inspection. It applies to all vehicle types, such as rigid chassis, articulated chassis and semi-trailers.
This standard does not apply to natural gas usage such as the gas supply system for appliances in caravans, mobile homes, forklifts, floor sweepers, polishers, tow tractors, elevating work platforms and industrial engines or for the propulsion of marine craft.
Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
