Bookmaker Registration - Tasmania

Description

You must have this registration if you intend to accept bets and engage in activities connected with the acceptance of bets on thoroughbred, harness or greyhound race meetings or approved sports events.

If you intend to accept telephone bets, you will need to apply for a separate endorsement on your registration. You may apply for either an on-course or off-course telephone betting endorsement. You must have been registered as a bookmaker for at least 2 years to be approved for off-course betting endorsements.

You must obtain an off-course function betting endorsement on your bookmaker certificate of registration to conduct betting at an off-course function. You may only apply for three off-course function approvals in one racing year.
