Code of Practice for the Disposal of Radioactive Wastes by the User - Tasmania


You must comply with this code if you are involved in the disposal and storage of radioactive wastes containing relatively low levels of radioactivity, or radionuclides of short half-life, such as those generated by many current medical, industrial and research uses of radioactivity in Australia.

This code recommends practices to manage wastes in a way to minimise the exposure of persons to radiation to below prescribed limits.
