Commercial Filming and Photography Licence - Tasmania

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to undertake filming or photography for the purposes of sale or other consideration in areas managed by the agency. This includes:

  • commercial filming (including advertisements)
  • feature filming (cinema, video and TV)
  • documentaries and tourism promotions
  • educational and government sponsored filming
  • stills photography for advertising purposes.

The following projects do not attract a fee, however they are still required to complete an application to obtain a filming and photography fee exemption:

  • educational or tourism productions deemed to be beneficial
  • federal or state government tourism department sponsored filming
  • news and current affairs.
