Declaration of a Private Timber Reserve - Tasmania

You will need this declaration if you are a private landowner and intend to undertake forestry operations on part or all of your land. The reserve is attached to the title of the property in perpetuity unless revoked at the request of the owner or, in certain circumstances, by the agency.

A private timber reserve is legally recognised for wood production and must be restocked with trees following harvesting. The legislation provides for long-term forest management that is subject to a single, consistent, state-wide system of planning and regulation.
