To be eligible for this licence you must ensure that:
- the plans for the proposed deer farm, fencing and site are acceptable, as determined by a Wildlife Management Officer from Game Services Tasmania
- the farm is unlikely to cause a threat to the environment, the community or the property of another person
- the proposed deer farming operators are fit and proper persons
- the fence used, or to be used, is an agency approved fence.
All farm deer must be acquired from a registered deer farmer. All acquired deer must be recorded in a deer farm receipt book, which will be provided by Game Services Tasmania.
