Electrical Contractor Licence - Tasmania

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to enter into contracts to provide electrical work to the public, business or government. Electrical work includes the installation, repair, alteration or removal of an electrical infrastructure, electrical circuit or associated fittings, equipment or accessories.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • be a fit and proper person
  • have a strong and stable financial background
  • have the relevant qualifications and competencies
  • hold an adequate insurance coverage (at least $5 million for any one occurrence)
  • nominate an electrical practitioner licence holder (who has completed the relevant training course) to be a nominated manager.
