General Construction Induction Card (White Card) - Tasmania

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to carry out construction work at any level. Construction work includes any work carried out in connection with the construction, alteration, renovation, repair, maintenance or demolition of a structure.

Examples of people who need the licence include:

  • person with control of construction projects, such as a principal contractor, project manager, main contractor, builder, employer, self-employed person
  • person with control of construction work, such as an employer, self-employed person, principal contractor, main contractor, sub-contractor
  • person carrying out work on a construction site, such as an employee, contractor, labour-hire worker.

Lodgement process

You must either lodge your application within 60 days of completing general construction induction training, or provide a written declaration by the Registered Training Organisation which provided the training that you have successfully completed general construction induction training.

You must lodge your application in person with Service Tasmania.
