Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) - Tasmania

Description

You will need to comply with the Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) if you intend to manufacture or import hazardous chemicals. Hazardous chemicals are substances, mixtures and articles that can pose a significant risk to health and safety if not managed correctly and include carcinogens, flammable liquids, toxic chemicals and explosives.

The GHS was developed to provide a standard way to identify the physical hazards, health hazards and environmental hazards of chemical products, so that they can be safely used, handled and stored.
