Guidelines for the Control of Legionella in Regulated Systems - Tasmania

Description

You will need to comply with these regulations if you own premises where regulated systems are installed or if you are involved in the operation or maintenance of regulated systems. Regulated systems include:

  • air-handling systems (e.g. air conditioning systems)
  • cooling towers
  • warm-water systems
  • humidifying systems
  • any other system or process that may involve a risk of legionnaire's disease (legionellosis).

The guidelines provide specific requirements about the maintenance and operation of registered systems to reduce public health risks relating to legionella.
