A kennel licence is required if more than 2 dogs or more than 4 working dogs over the age of 6 months are to be kept at a property.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • provide for health, welfare and adequate control of all dogs on your premises
  • provide information on the breeds, kinds and maximum number of dogs that may be kept on your premises
  • comply with any conditions as determined by the Council
  • submit the appropriate application form
  • pay the required fees.

Your application must be published 28 days prior to finalisation of the licence. Please consult the Contact Officer for more information regarding eligibility requirements.
