Licence to Use Permanent Timber Production Zone - Tasmania

Description

You may need this licence if you will need secure but non-exclusive use of a Permanent Timber Production Zone area. These licences are usually granted when land use is needed, but there is no need for permanent infrastructure or specific management of the area. These licences may be granted for a variety of uses including:

  • apiary (bee-keeping) sites
  • agistment
  • access
  • game management
  • commercial bush food collection
  • tourism.

If you need a permit for an apiary site, please be aware that regulations under the Animal Health Act apply to the import of bees, apiary products or used apiary equipment. You may be required to provide a health certificate to the relevant Agency for any imported goods. You must also apply to the relevant Agency for registration as a beekeeper.
