Licence to Use Permanent Timber Production Zone - Tasmania

Description

You may require this licence if you will require secure but non-exclusive use of a Permanent Timber Production Zone area. These are usually granted when land use is required but there is no need for permanent infrastructure or specific management of the area. These licences may be granted for a variety of uses including:

  • apiary (bee-keeping) sites
  • agistment
  • access
  • game management
  • commercial bush food collection
  • tourism.

If you require a permit for an apiary site, please be aware that regulations under the Animal Health Act apply to the import of bees, apiary products or used apiary equipment and you may be required to provide a health certificate to the relevant Agency for any imported goods. You will also have to apply to the relevant Agency for registration as a beekeeper.
