Liquor Permit - On or Off Permit - Tasmania

Description

You will need one of these permits if you operate a licensed premises and intend to sell alcohol outside your current licence conditions, for instance:

  • if you operate an off-licensed premises (e.g. bottle shop) and intend to sell liquor for consumption on the premises, you will need an On Permit (e.g. supplying alcohol as part of a tasting where a fee has been charged)
  • if you operate an on-licensed premises (e.g. pub) that intends to supply liquor for consumption off the premises, you will need an Off Permit (e.g. supplying alcohol for consumption in outside dining areas).
