Major Project Permit - Tasmania

Description

You will need to apply for this permit if you intend to undertake a major project. Major projects are large and complex, and they have impact beyond a single council area.

To be declared that it should be assessed as a major project, a project must meet at least two of the following three conditions:

  • have a significant impact on a region’s economy, environment or social fabric
  • be of strategic importance to a region
  • be of significant scale and complexity (requires two or more permits).
