Description

You will need to comply with this code if you intend to use or be involved in using plant. Plant includes any machinery, equipment, appliance, container, implement or tool, or any component or other item fitted or connected to any of those items such as machinery, vehicles and power tools.

This code provides practical guidance on how to manage the health and safety risks associated with plant and outlines how to achieve the standards. This code applies to all workplaces where plant is used and anyone involved in these activities and covers topics including:

  • the risk management process
  • controlling risks from purchase to disposal
  • specific control measures
  • plan registration and record keeping.
