Motor Vehicle Trader Licence - Tasmania

Description

You will need this licence to operate as a motor vehicle trader. Motor vehicle trading includes buying, selling or exchanging more than six vehicles in a 12-month period. This licence applies to trading in both new and used motor vehicles.

Employees of a motor vehicle trader do not need to obtain this licence.

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit and proper person
  • consent to the Agency requesting a national police record check on your behalf.
