You must notify the agency within 5 days of commencing licensed asbestos removal work. Licensed asbestos removal work is the removal of either:
- any amount of friable (Class A) asbestos
- more than 10 square metres of non-friable (Class B) asbestos.
Where the immediate removal of asbestos is proposed, prior notification by telephone is required and then the notification form is to be submitted within 24 hours.
