You may require a permit if you intend to undertake commercial activities at a public marine facility.
Public marine facilities include any council managed structure or equipment used to launch or moor vessels, such as landing stages, slipways, jetties, wharfs and breakwaters.
Activities which may require approval include:
- refuelling a vessel
- placing cargo or materials at or near the facility
- repairing or maintaining vessels
- entering a closed facility
- adding to, or altering the structure of the facility
- displaying signs or advertising material
- conducting a business.
